LIKVIEOS
(Lycabettus)
and it's all Greek to me!
Beautiful, beautiful Athens, the city is fabulous and the scenery incredible but be careful of the cars and the motorcycles. It's crazy!
Day one, the travelers slept in then walked around the city. They walked to the Parthenon and took photos of the cities, Athens and Piraeus. Many of the ruins were stone and dirt but incredible to think that they were once standing tall and proud.
Plakka was filled with shops and vendors. They learned to ignore the street vendors who didn't take 'no' for an answer. So many languages permeated the air, French, German and English were heard most often. All the signs were in Greek and English. I'm not sure what people who spoke other languages would do.
The travelers will meet their son-in-laws parents. Out to dinner but they don't speak English. This could be interesting.
What city do you think is the most romantic city in the world?
